How we check age
When you visit our website
The first time you visit alfakherdubai.ae, we ask you to confirm that you are 18 or over before you can browse. Your answer is remembered in a cookie (afd_age18) for one year, so you are not asked on every page. See our Cookie Policy.
At checkout
By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the order is for an adult.
On delivery
Our driver (1-hour delivery in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman) or our courier (12-hour delivery across the rest of the UAE) may ask the person receiving the order to show a valid government-issued photo ID, such as an Emirates ID or passport.
When we refuse a sale
- The customer or the person receiving the order cannot show they are 18 or over.
- We reasonably believe the order is being bought for someone under 18 (proxy buying).
In these cases the order is not handed over and may be canceled. Any refund is handled under our Refund & Returns Policy.
Our commitment
- We do not market our products to anyone under 18.
- We may ask for proof of age at any point before or during delivery.
- If you believe someone under 18 has ordered from us, please tell us straight away.
